Nicola’s - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 5/12/26

Nicola’s: For some odd reason, I was feeling a bit of déjà vu as we began our game, although that feeling quickly disappeared once everything got underway. Wild Horses and Landing Crew both scored OTB extra points to get the game kicked off. Wild Horses then went on to dominate the first half, building a healthy lead. *draw a picture of a blazing hot sun on the Round 2/Question 1 response (5/19/26) to score bonus points* At Halftime, Wild Horses held the advantage over a tie between We’re Just Guessing and Boli Express, then another tie between Happy Locals and Going Going Gone. Boli Express came on strong early in the second half to take over at the front, however only briefly as Wild Horses regrouped and reached full gallop late in the half to regain the lead. Going into the Final Bonus, Wild Horses was trailed by Blame It On The Alcohol, then a tie between Off Center and Boli Express, then We’re Just Guessing.

Only one team correctly answered the Final Bonus, but unfortunately did not wager any points.

Nicola's: It was a packed house for this week's game. Harvo, Speed Bumps and Dr. Zoom all won OTB extra points for their responses to get the ball rolling. Nicola's: Another fun group of teams joined our game this week. The Boli Express snagged the OTB extra point to get the early jump out of the gates. It was a challenging game, with The Boli Express and Blame It On The Alcohol running neck-n-neck at the front throughout the first half. *draw a picture of Betelgeuse on the (10/14/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At the halfway mark, The Boli Express held a slim lead over Landing Crew, Blame It On The Alcohol, Kickin' Assets and Off Center. The Boli Express slipped just a bit midway through the second half, allowing Landing Crew to move into the top spot. Going into the Final Bonus, Landing Crew were just ahead of a tie between Blame It On The Alcohol and The Boli Express, then Kickin' Assets and Off Center. Nicola's: We had a packed house filled with several of our regular offenders along with a handful of newbies joining this week's game. Landing Crew and Four Aces both scored OTB extra points for their responses to get our game rolling. It was a close match with The Boli Express and Six Pack battling for the top spot throughout the early rounds. *draw a picture of a scrapple sandwich on the (10/7/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At Halftime, Six Pack held the lead over Sue Is Noisy, Happy Locals, The Boli Express, then a tie between Landing Crew and Big Dave. The competition remained close during the second half, and the standings remained largely unchanged.
