Nicola’s - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 1/6/26

Nicola's: A bit of a post-holiday dip, as expected, with a half dozen of our regular veteran teams for this week's game. Landing Crew nabbed the OTB extra point to get the early jump out of the gates and lead the field over the early rounds. Off Center gained momentum late in the half to take over at the front going into the Halftime Bonus. *draw a map of Greenland on the (1/13/26) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At the halfway mark, Dr. Zoom held the top spot ahead of Off Center, then a tie between Landing Crew and Filly With An F, followed by Boli Express. Dr. Zoom kept the pressure on throughout the second half, while the competition battled over the runner-up position. Dr. Zoom held a comfortable lead over Filly With An F, followed by a tie between Off Center and Boli Express, then Blame It On The Alcohol as we entered the Final Bonus.

A couple teams correctly answered the Final Bonus, and we needed a tie-breaker to determine our 2nd place prize winner.

Nicola's: Our summer hiatus has ended and we had a dozen teams filled with plenty of familiar faces join our game. Nicola's: It was a packed house for this week's game. Harvo, Speed Bumps and Dr. Zoom all won OTB extra points for their responses to get the ball rolling. It was a close, competitive match, with several teams vying for the top spot throughout the first half. *draw a picture of a jack o'lantern on the (11/4/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At Halftime, Midnight Meat Train and Speed Bumps shared the top spot over If This Was Strip Poker We'd Be Naked, P&J, then a tie between Landing Crew and Blame It On The Alcohol. The second half really shook up the running order, while Graying Personalities put in the strongest performance. Going into the Final Bonus, P&J held the lead aheqad of Speed Bumps, Blame It On The Alcohol, then a tie between Midnight Meat Train and Graying Personalities. Nicola's: Another fun group of teams joined our game this week. The Boli Express snagged the OTB extra point to get the early jump out of the gates. It was a challenging game, with The Boli Express and Blame It On The Alcohol running neck-n-neck at the front throughout the first half. *draw a picture of Betelgeuse on the (10/14/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At the halfway mark, The Boli Express held a slim lead over Landing Crew, Blame It On The Alcohol, Kickin' Assets and Off Center. The Boli Express slipped just a bit midway through the second half, allowing Landing Crew to move into the top spot. Going into the Final Bonus, Landing Crew were just ahead of a tie between Blame It On The Alcohol and The Boli Express, then Kickin' Assets and Off Center.
