Nicola’s - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 1/20/26

Nicola's: We had a packed house with yet again another baker's dozen of fantastic teams. Boli Express nabbed the OTB extra point to get the early jump, but unfortunately stumbled midway through the half, allowing the rest of the field to move past. It was a close match, with no clear favorite appearing. *draw a picture of Halite on the (1/27/26) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At the halfway mark, Off Center, Monroe Doctor-In and Blame It On The Alcohol were all locked in a 3-way tie for the lead over Four Pack and That's What She Said. A very close match indeed. The second half did well to break up the tied scores and spread out the competition. Going into the Final Bonus, Monroe Doctor-In held sole possession of the lead over Blame It On The Alcohol, Off Center, Four Pack and Damn Yankees.

Several teams correctly answered the Final Bonus, however not all wagered points.

Nicola's: Another fun group of teams joined our game this week. The Boli Express snagged the OTB extra point to get the early jump out of the gates. It was a challenging game, with The Boli Express and Blame It On The Alcohol running neck-n-neck at the front throughout the first half. *draw a picture of Betelgeuse on the (10/14/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At the halfway mark, The Boli Express held a slim lead over Landing Crew, Blame It On The Alcohol, Kickin' Assets and Off Center. The Boli Express slipped just a bit midway through the second half, allowing Landing Crew to move into the top spot. Going into the Final Bonus, Landing Crew were just ahead of a tie between Blame It On The Alcohol and The Boli Express, then Kickin' Assets and Off Center. Nicola's: We had a packed house filled with several of our regular offenders along with a handful of newbies joining this week's game. Landing Crew and Four Aces both scored OTB extra points for their responses to get our game rolling. It was a close match with The Boli Express and Six Pack battling for the top spot throughout the early rounds. *draw a picture of a scrapple sandwich on the (10/7/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At Halftime, Six Pack held the lead over Sue Is Noisy, Happy Locals, The Boli Express, then a tie between Landing Crew and Big Dave. The competition remained close during the second half, and the standings remained largely unchanged.
