Nicola’s - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 4/23/24 *Inflated Prize Alert*

Nicola's: Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, the group that comes out for Trivia is simply the best. We had some familiar faces we haven't seen in a while along with some newbies diving into this week's game. Blame It On The Alcohol nabbed the OTB extra point and ran at the front over the early rounds. Unfortunately, they staggered a bit late in the half, allowing a few other teams to move past. *draw a picture of May flowers on the Round 2/Question 1 response to score bonus points* At Halftime, T&J held a narrow lead over a 3-way tie between Off Center, Underage Thinkers and The Barbara Gaskin Fan Club, then In The Dog House followed by yet another 3-way tie. A close match fer sure! The second half was a bit more difficult for most of our teams, yet T&J was able to maintain their pace to pull out an even larger lead. Going into the Final Bonus they held a comfy lead over About Faces, closely trailed by a tie between In The Dog House and Underage Thinkers, then Blame It On The Alcohol.

Several teams correctly answered the Final Bonus, and the house team scored the 2nd place prize, so next week's top prize will be inflated.

Nicola's: It was a packed house for this week's game. Harvo, Speed Bumps and Dr. Zoom all won OTB extra points for their responses to get the ball rolling. Nicola's: Another fun group of teams joined our game this week. The Boli Express snagged the OTB extra point to get the early jump out of the gates. It was a challenging game, with The Boli Express and Blame It On The Alcohol running neck-n-neck at the front throughout the first half. *draw a picture of Betelgeuse on the (10/14/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At the halfway mark, The Boli Express held a slim lead over Landing Crew, Blame It On The Alcohol, Kickin' Assets and Off Center. The Boli Express slipped just a bit midway through the second half, allowing Landing Crew to move into the top spot. Going into the Final Bonus, Landing Crew were just ahead of a tie between Blame It On The Alcohol and The Boli Express, then Kickin' Assets and Off Center. Nicola's: We had a packed house filled with several of our regular offenders along with a handful of newbies joining this week's game. Landing Crew and Four Aces both scored OTB extra points for their responses to get our game rolling. It was a close match with The Boli Express and Six Pack battling for the top spot throughout the early rounds. *draw a picture of a scrapple sandwich on the (10/7/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At Halftime, Six Pack held the lead over Sue Is Noisy, Happy Locals, The Boli Express, then a tie between Landing Crew and Big Dave. The competition remained close during the second half, and the standings remained largely unchanged.
