Geri & The Atrics We're Helium Positive In The Doghouse while The Rejects had Sharkbites at The Last Roundup and Double D was Happy Locals at the end of the Boli Express bar for the last game of the season at Nicola Pizza on the avenue. The whole crowd aced round one and because The Rejects took the OTB they were out in front by 1 in round 1. Only Sharkbites were perfect in round 2 and by the halftime break, The Rejects had risen to the top (again by 1) with The Last Round-Up nipping at their heels. Just 2 points more back sat We're Helium Positive with In the Doghouse 2 more back and Geri & The Atrics in the middle of the pack. Double D and Sharkbites were tied and Boli Express was tied with Happy Locals, all within a 13 point spread.

 

We're Helium Positive ran the second half table but remained 1 point behind The Rejects as we prepped for the last final question of the season. Sharkbites was tied with In the Doghouse for 3rd/4th. The Last Round-Up had slid into 5th Double D has been shaken loose, sitting in 6th place. The rest of the field had fallen further behind as the point spread had grown to 22. It was going to be a strategic toss-up.

 

None of the teams came up with the correct final answer EXCEPT ONE, Happy Locals. They surprised everyone especially themselves, wagered the maximum and rocketed to the front to take the last game of the season TO-THE-BANK. The Rejects held on for the 2nd place prize to add to them taking the half-time winnings.

 

It's been an honor to be Eric's stand-in and really appreciate having become part of the Nicola family. Here's wishing everyone a safe and fabulous summer and I'm sure we're all looking forward to the new Nicola Pizza, in the new digs this fall, in Lewes.

Nicola's: It was a packed house for this week's game. Harvo, Speed Bumps and Dr. Zoom all won OTB extra points for their responses to get the ball rolling. Nicola’s - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 9/16/25

Nicola's: Our summer hiatus has ended and we had a dozen teams filled with plenty of familiar faces join our game. Handful of Johnsons snagged the OTB extra point and got off to an excellent start, running at the front of the pack over the early rounds. *draw a picture of a glowing cowboy on the (9/23/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At Halftime, we had a tie for the lead between If This Was Strip Poker We'd Be Naked and Big Dave, closely followed by Blame It On The Alcohol, Happy Locals and Off Center. The second half spread out the field just a bit. Going into the Final Bonus, If This Was Strip Poker We'd Be Naked still held the top spot followed by a tie between Off Center and Happy Locals, then Blame It On The Alcohol and The Boli Express. Nicola’s - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 10/7/25 *Inflated Prize Alert*

Nicola's: Another fun group of teams joined our game this week. The Boli Express snagged the OTB extra point to get the early jump out of the gates. It was a challenging game, with The Boli Express and Blame It On The Alcohol running neck-n-neck at the front throughout the first half. *draw a picture of Betelgeuse on the (10/14/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At the halfway mark, The Boli Express held a slim lead over Landing Crew, Blame It On The Alcohol, Kickin' Assets and Off Center. The Boli Express slipped just a bit midway through the second half, allowing Landing Crew to move into the top spot. Going into the Final Bonus, Landing Crew were just ahead of a tie between Blame It On The Alcohol and The Boli Express, then Kickin' Assets and Off Center.
