Nicola's - Let's Do Trivia! - 4/5/22

April Fools had come and gone but the fun and frivolity persisted at Nicola Pizza on the avenue. 9 teams broke loose with 4 of them acing both rounds 1 and2. Round 3 proved tough for everybody. At the half, Sharkbites led the house team (Boli Express) by 1 point with Happy Locals in 3rd. Glorious 6 sat 2 in 4th, and Rejected Off Center Crew in 5th. Right behind was We're Helium Positive in a tie with Mayhem while J.T. (newcomers) and Trivia Masters rounded out the field.

 

We soon found that J.T. had left the building. Sharkbites and Mayhem were perfect in round 4, not so much in round 5. Three of our teams found their groove for round 6. Prepping for the final, Sharkbites seemed unbeatable (having led from the gun). Boli Express had slipped by 1 (now 4 points off the pace). Rejected Off Center Crew had rallied into 3rd and We're Helium Positive floated into 4th place. The point spread had grown to 37 but it wasn't over yet. Two of our teams submitted the correct final answer, ironically with two different wagering strategies. In the end it was certainly Sharkbites' night. They not only garnered the half-time prize they took the game in commanding fashion. Rejected Off Center Crew finish the night in second.

Nicola's: Our summer hiatus has ended and we had a dozen teams filled with plenty of familiar faces join our game. Nicola's: It was a packed house for this week's game. Harvo, Speed Bumps and Dr. Zoom all won OTB extra points for their responses to get the ball rolling. It was a close, competitive match, with several teams vying for the top spot throughout the first half. *draw a picture of a jack o'lantern on the (11/4/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At Halftime, Midnight Meat Train and Speed Bumps shared the top spot over If This Was Strip Poker We'd Be Naked, P&J, then a tie between Landing Crew and Blame It On The Alcohol. The second half really shook up the running order, while Graying Personalities put in the strongest performance. Going into the Final Bonus, P&J held the lead aheqad of Speed Bumps, Blame It On The Alcohol, then a tie between Midnight Meat Train and Graying Personalities. Nicola’s - Let's Do Trivia Blurb - 10/7/25 *Inflated Prize Alert*

Nicola's: Another fun group of teams joined our game this week. The Boli Express snagged the OTB extra point to get the early jump out of the gates. It was a challenging game, with The Boli Express and Blame It On The Alcohol running neck-n-neck at the front throughout the first half. *draw a picture of Betelgeuse on the (10/14/25) Round 2/Question 1 response for bonus points* At the halfway mark, The Boli Express held a slim lead over Landing Crew, Blame It On The Alcohol, Kickin' Assets and Off Center. The Boli Express slipped just a bit midway through the second half, allowing Landing Crew to move into the top spot. Going into the Final Bonus, Landing Crew were just ahead of a tie between Blame It On The Alcohol and The Boli Express, then Kickin' Assets and Off Center.
